1. The Peace
Stockholm, The Day of Peace, 1945. A spontanious kiss between two strangers in the crowd at Kungsgatan will lead up to big consequences. The war has affected the business at restaurant Djurgårdskällaren, driven by the Löwander family. The son, Gustaf, finds a risky way to solve the restaurants economical problems. The sister, Nina, arranges a peace banquet that will determine her future. Chef Backe makes life hard for the new scullion Calle Svensson.
2. The Return Home
Peter Löwander comes home from the preparedness and has a jewish refugee with him, Suzanne Goldstein. Helga, the head of the family, dissaproves but remains silent. Nina's and Calle's roads are crossed once again. Gustaf covers up the restaurants catastrophal economi and shallow dealings, but the brother, Peter, starts to understand that something is wrong.
3. The Jubilee
Gustaf and Helga arranges a 50 year anniversary at Djurgårdskällaren to speed up the business. But Nina has another solution. She defies her brother and starts jazz evenings in the banquet hall. Peter confronts Gustaf about the restaurants catastrophic economi. Nina and Calle are dating in secret. Nina is annoyed when Calle gets in a fight with one of her friends.
4. Secrets
Peter and Suzanne are telling news that shakes the family. Peters conflict with the gangster Ragnarsson culminates, with big consequences. Gustaf risks more than prison. Nina's and Calle's secret relationship puts at edge. Helga asks Peter of a huge favor and Maggan brings home her son Uno from fostercare. But is it the right decision?
5. The Restaurant Keeper
Peter is taking over as restaurant keeper when Gustaf is arrested. Ragnarsson is blackmailing Peter by threatening Suzanne. The restaurants future are being put at play. Calle makes a bad decision regarding Nina. Chef Backe shows unknown sides. Maggan's and Lilly's relationship are getting more intimated, but threatens.
6. The Reopening
Everything hangs on a thin thread. Peter and Nina are fighting for the restaurants survival. Maggan gets tired of how the staff at the restaurant are treated and starts to fight for her rights. Gustaf is released from custody and is tracking Suzanne's painful secret. Calle finally gets the chance to show what he can do in the kitchen, but will he cope with the challenge? Calle's and Nina's love faces a fateful crossroad.
7. The Crayfish Party
Stockholm 1946. Nina and Erik are celebrating their engagement with a crayfish party in the archipelago. Calle becomes involuntary responsible for the food. Gustaf reveals Suzanne's secret to Peter. Gustaf fires Maggan because of her involvement in the labour union and Helga gets on a collision course with Nina's future mother-in-law.
8. The Agreement
Suzanne's debacle leads to a lot of consequences, both to Peter and the restaurant. The conflict between Gustaf and Maggan puts at edge when the help comes from an unexpected direction. Calle is forced to make a decision: to follow his heart or to take responsibility. Helga is pushing Nina to do what the convention requires and Gustaf plays his cards when Peter is weak and vulnerable.
9. The Housewife
Stockholm 1950. The recent years has implied dramatical changes for the Löwander family. Nina and Erik have got a little daughter and Nina lives a quiet life as housewife. But everything is not as perfect as it seems. Peter has started an affair with Ester, and works as a lawyer. A love in he past shows up. Gustaf works alone as restaurant keeper, but Peter and Helga opposes against his plans. The conflict between the brothers comes to life, stronger than ever. Chef Backe has an accident and Calle takes the chance as reserv. Maggan revolts against the geezers in the labour union.
10. The Hope
Ninas addiction has got disastrous consequences. The fight between Gustaf and Peter about the domination of the restaurant drives with dirty means. Ester takes a bigger room in Peters life. Maggan candidates to chairman in the labour union, but has strong forces against herself. Calle's work at Djurgårdskällaren takes a dramatical turn.
