After an outbreak of the deadly Var Syndrome strikes, the Walkure Unit appears on the scene, and the power of Freyja's music is awakened. **NOTE**: This is a "New Year's Eve Special Preview" version of Episode 1 that aired on 2015-12-31. It was only 89% complete at the time of airing, hence the title "Mission 0.89." The creators noted that there is more to this episode after the final scene.
