Clifton Davis begins a second season as the neighborhood barber, with Theresa Merrit playing his loving, but sometimes difficult Mama.
2. Business is Business
If Clifton accepts an offer to go into business with one of his clients, he has good chances of making big money.
3. Mama's Solution
Despite her chauvinistic son's objections, Mama decides to get a job to help Clifton out of a financial crisis.
4. That's Earl, Brother
Clifton reluctantly heads to New York for a barbers' convention, knowing that Earl will be in full charge of the shop during his absence.
5. A Date With Judy
Clifton is teased by Earl and Junior because he has feelings for a girl named Judy who they feel is not much of a looker.
6. Earl's Dad and Mama's Glad
Clifton introduces Mama to Earl's visiting dad who, on their first evening together, tries to interest her in a business venture.
7. Weekend Daddy
Leonard decides to be a Weekend Father for a 9 year old boy who quickly becomes attached to Earl rather than Leonard.
8. Clifton and La Femme
Clifton is unimpressed by the displays at an African art exhibit, but he is overwhelmed by one of the spectators, a beauty whose only flaw is that she doesn't speak English.
9. Mama's Big Move
At the Suggestion of her friend Laura, Mama moves out of the house and gives Clifton a chance to have a place of his own.
10. Queen of the Ribs
After a little encouragement from Mama, bashful Earl launches an all out campaign to win the affections of a restaurant hostess.

Mama is lost in memories when she gets a visit from her old boy friend, the wild one she dated before marrying Clifton's dad.

An out-of-town wedding brings out the worst in Earl, who is jealous of the expensive present Clifton bought for the couple.
13. Clifton's Casual Fling
Clifton is finally serious about a girl, and what's more, Mama approves. But the young woman is wary about getting involved.
