New Orleans EMT responders face the darkness of death and the joy of life as they treat gunshot victims and car accident patients and help deliver a baby.

Saturday night fever grips New Orleans as the EMTs respond to a gruesome stabbing, an assault with a beer bottle, a car accident involving an infant, and a combative patient who tries biting the hands that treat him.
