Jacques 'Pschitt' Perrier
High mountain guide and climber monument of French heritage, Jacques Perrier nicknamed "Pschitt" inscribed his name in gold letters in the history of climbing, especially in the Verdon.
With the dual role of climber and team member, in the 70s and 80s he opened great routes and mythical rinds such as "Pichenibule" or "Les Rideaux de Gwendal", "Les Spécialistes" in 8b+... At 56, he cheerfully clipped the mythical 8b relays like “Sortilège” at Cimaï. One of his last notable sequences (if we only consider the level of the route!) remains "Témoin d'usure" 8a+ at Faron (Toulon) at 63 years old!
But his track record doesn't stop at cliff climbing, as he has many extreme first ascents in the mountains and ice climbing. Pshitt is the same winner of the World Cup of bouldering ice stunts in Cortina d'Ampezzo in 1999! To sum up, Pschitt is and remains a climbing legend, which for more than 45 years continues with the same passion and enthusiasm...
