One Dark Night
_**A Night to Dismember**_ Wanting to join a small gang in high school, a girl (Meg Tilly) has to spend the night in a mausoleum with the other girls trying to break her. The problem is that a dubious expert in bioenergy was just entombed there. Adam West and Melissa Newman are on hand as husband & wife in side roles. "One Dark Night" (1982) features interesting theorizing on telekinesis and the corresponding bioenergy, as well as a nice assortment of women. Other than Meg and Melissa, there’s Elizabeth Daily, Robin Evans and Leslie Speights. Tilly proves her acting chops as the protagonist. While there’s a simplicity to the proceedings and the colorful effects are comic booky, there are enough highlights to make this an entertaining spooky flick from the early 80s with some ghastly moments in the last act. The film runs 1 hour, 29 minutes, and was shot entirely in Los Angeles, including Hollywood Mausoleum, Angelus-Rosedale Cemetery, Santa Monica Pier and 2nd Street Tunnel between Hill and Figueroa.
